About Me

Jonah Bloom – clinical social worker and aquatic body–mind therapist

Hi, I’m Jonah. I’m a social worker specializing in trauma-informed rehabilitation, and a certified Watsu and Water‑Dance practitioner.

Over the years I have accompanied people through complex rehabilitation processes, times of crisis, and periods of searching for a new direction.

My own path into the water began as a client, after an injury that changed the course of my life. Entering the water eased the physical pain right away — and the encounter with it began a deep and unexpected healing of the heart.

Having fallen in love with the healing space the water offers, I set out to study its different therapeutic methods in depth. I completed full practitioner certification, and also served as an assistant to Arjana Brunschwiler, the founder of WATA (Water‑Dance).

My work rests on the understanding that trauma leaves its imprint in the body. As a therapist, my responsibility is to create conditions of safety, attentiveness and pace, in which the body can let go of its vigilance and engage its natural ways of healing.
